Our local Yalecrest Boy Scout Troop 53, is doing their flag fundraiser for the neighborhood. They will be placing flags from sunrise to sunset on the following national and/or state holidays:
September 2009 - Labor Day
November 2009 - Veteran’s Day
February 2010 - President’s Day
May 2010 - Memorial Day
June 2010 - Flag Day
July 2010 - Independence Day
July 2010 - Pioneer Day
If you would like a flag placed on your lawn on the above holiday, the Scout’s are asking for a $35.00 donation. The money will be used to maintain and purchase new flags as needed and help support scout activities and high adventures throughout the year.

My son’s Boy Scout Troop in Sugar Land Texas is going to start up a flag fundraiser. I wanted to see if you could offer us advice on the following.
I have priced nylon flag kits locally and they are rather pricey. Do you order the flags or buy locally?
Where do you advertise other than this website? Do the boys go door to door?
Is the rotary or lion’s club involved?
